Lastly, she has an incredible eye for design. We wanted an understated aesthetic with lots of color. She brought this to life with beautiful table linens, simple furniture and tableware, and incredible partnership with our florist to pull it all together. She created a tent that felt warm and fun. Sorrell made our vision of our daughter's wedding a beautiful reality. She generously and graciously worked with me for almost 3 years through several pandemic postponements. My wedding was this month and I remember watching Sorrell on my wedding day and thinking to myself, “how does she do it all? How does she stay so calm and confident when things go wrong? How does she execute so flawlessly?” Simply put, Sorrell is wonderful to work with and very skilled at what she does. I can’t imagine there is anyone that knows this industry as well as she does and she has really mastered the New England region. She knows everyone and works well with everyone. She has a keen eye for design (I think in a past life she was a designer 😉) and she understands the complexities of events. Our wedding was one of the most challenging (on a private lake property and it was three days long) and she really knew exactly how to make everything fit together so pleasantly. Sorrell totally has a can-do attitude and has the background and knowledge to make it happen. Wedding planning teaches you a lot about your relationship with control - how do you take the wheel for one of the most important events of your life? I am naturally a Type A personality and, at worst, can lean into micromanaging. But when my husband and I hired Sorrell, I quickly learned I could take my hands off and cruise. Sorrell is an expert in all things New England wedding - she has a fantastic eye for design and conceptualization in addition to crucial practical knowledge of logistics and local vendors. She truly has it all. By the time we arrived at our wedding, I kept telling Sorrell I wasn't sure how all of the elements we talked about for months were going to come together. She kept telling me not to worry, and I believed her. I'm so happy I did, because I was able to relax the morning of my wedding and walk without any nervousness into my ceremony and reception.
