Wedding planning teaches you a lot about your relationship with control - how do you take the wheel for one of the most important events of your life? I am naturally a Type A personality and, at worst, can lean into micromanaging. But when my husband and I hired Sorrell, I quickly learned I could take my hands off and cruise. Today, inspiration is everywhere. Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, wedding blogs—you can save hundreds of beautiful images before you’ve made a single decision. And while having so much inspiration can be exciting, it can also become incredibly overwhelming. How do you know which ideas belong together? What works for your venue? Where should you invest? And most importantly, how do you create a wedding that feels like you rather than something you’ve simply seen online?
That’s where we come in.
We begin with a deep creative discovery conversation to understand not just what you like, but why you like it. We explore your personal style, the emotional tone you want to create, color, texture, florals, lighting, tabletop, stationery, and the overall guest experience. We also consider your venue and budget, helping you distinguish between ideas that will truly transform the space and those you can comfortably leave behind.
From there, we edit and refine. We take the many ideas swirling around and turn them into one clear, cohesive creative direction—a wedding that feels personal, intentional, and unmistakably yours.
We develop a detailed design plan that becomes the visual roadmap for your celebration and collaborate closely with your florist, rental company, stationer, lighting team, and other creative partners to help ensure everyone is working toward the same vision. We oversee the visual elements so that each choice relates to the next and the celebration feels cohesive from the first impression to the final detail.
The result is less second-guessing, fewer overwhelming decisions, and the confidence of knowing there is a clear creative vision behind everything you choose.
Design investment begins at $3500.
Many of the wonderful venues we work with have an in-house venue coordinator, and quite honestly, many of them are exceptional. We’ve worked alongside some of these professionals for years, and they are an incredibly important part of making a wedding successful.
But a venue coordinator and a wedding planner have two very different roles.
Your venue coordinator represents the venue. Their job is to guide you through the venue’s process, policies, menus, timing, spaces, and requirements and to make sure everything happening within the venue runs smoothly. And at a busy property, that coordinator may be working with dozens—or even more than a hundred—couples throughout the season. Their role simply isn’t designed to provide the highly personalized planning support that some couples want.
That’s where we come in.

We have the time to get to know you, understand what matters to you, work through the hundreds of decisions that happen outside of the venue’s responsibilities, and help you create a celebration that feels distinctly your own. We can explore custom design ideas, rethink how spaces are used, source the right creative partners, refine the guest experience, and bring all of those individual pieces together into one cohesive wedding.
A great venue already has wonderful systems in place—and for many couples, those systems provide exactly what they need. But if you find yourself wanting more guidance, more personalization, more creative freedom, or simply someone in your corner throughout the entire process, having your own planner can completely change the experience.
You don’t hire us to replace your venue coordinator. You hire us to work alongside them—bringing another layer of personal attention, creativity, and support to your wedding.
For couples hosting their celebration at a luxury venue, the overall wedding investment can often reach approximately $1,500 per guest, depending on the venue, design, entertainment, rentals, food and beverage, and overall scope of the celebration. At that level of investment, having someone focused specifically on your vision and your experience can be an important part of making the wedding feel not only beautiful, but personal.
When you choose to celebrate on private property, you’re not simply selecting a venue—you’re essentially building one from the ground up. There is no existing ballroom, kitchen, power source, lighting plan, floor plan, or established infrastructure waiting for you. There’s the tent itself: size, placement, style, flooring, draping, lighting, power, generators, restroom facilities, catering infrastructure, water supply, weather contingencies, vendor access, and installation schedules. Then come the beautiful decisions: linens, chairs, tabletop, florals, candles, stationery, bars, lounges, lighting, décor, and all of the details that make a temporary space feel warm, personal, and completely transformed.
And then there are the things your guests will never see.
Measurements. Floor plans. Rental quantities. Power requirements. Catering needs. Delivery schedules. Vendor load-in. Revised proposals. Rain plans. Permits when required. Installation timing. Strike schedules. And yes—approximately 4,782 emails. 😉

That is why our Full Planning service is particularly important for tented and private-property weddings. We manage both sides of the celebration: the infrastructure that makes the wedding possible and the creative details that make it beautiful. We serve as the central point between you and the many professionals required to build your wedding from the ground up.
The goal is that your guests never think about generators, flooring, delivery schedules, power requirements, or rain plans. They simply arrive at a beautiful celebration that feels as though it has always belonged there.
