The Horse and Hound Inn graces the town of Franconia, NH. It is a delightful estate with gorgeous views inside and out! For this classic estate, we wanted to create a shoot that was intimate with a few unique equestrian details. One of those details was the groom’s cufflinks, which featured horses. Overall, this shoot was really about the details, and we were able to incorporate so many beautiful touches.
When it came to the flowers, Clementia Floral Co. used a palette of blush and cream. They created not one but two bouquets for the bride! One bouquet was all-white with hanging flowers while the second was a full bouquet filled with blush and cream roses.
For the reception inside The Horse and Hound Inn, we linked the tables with white textured tablecloths and draped with cascading greenery. The tall-taped candles added some romance, and I just love the patterned place settings. These pieces were a part of the Dahlia collection from Gooseberry Tabletop. The Dahlia collection is carefully curated red and white vintage china that depicts a serene landscape, and bouquets circle the outer edge. The vibrant reds and more subtle pinks add character to any style décor.
The biggest focus of this shoot was the incredible paper and stationery! Inviting Treasures, Scripting Bird, The Shaded Maple, and Pressed Paper Studio collaborated to create a stunning suite of invitations. The invitations were hand-lettered and featured vintage stamps. In addition, Suz Cunningham, owner of Pressed Paper Studio, handmade the paper with love. Their papers are a blend of abaca and cotton, and they added the occasional wispy Kozo fibers to the tissue paper mix. Soft to the touch with a beautiful texture, they also have natural deckle edges. Every sheet made by this studio is one of a kind!
As a wedding planner, one of the things I love most is working with other incredible local businesses! For instance, Gooseberry Tabletop and Inviting Treasures are black-owned, women-owned businesses, and they are both such a joy to work with. Ultimately, the benefit of a styled shoot like this is that we can all come together to create something amazing. The icing on the cake was getting to shoot at such a gorgeous venue like The Horse and Hound Inn.
