Our goal for this shoot was to exemplify how you can achieve playful elegance without being rigid. Classy doesn’t have to be stuffy! To create this design, we started with one of our favorite color palettes, blue and blush. We added some white, a touch of peach, and watercolor-inspired floral elements to tie it all together. When working with the venue, we were inspired by the French countryside, with lush greenery and hidden brooks.

The backdrop for this gorgeous shoot was Lakefalls Lodge, a private estate in Stoddard New Hampshire. The Adirondack-style lodge sits on a lake and offers not just lake views, but waterfalls! We set up an intimate dining area next to the waterfall, that offered the perfect setting for our couple. 

The tablescape featured rentals from Events Delivered, our tabletop rental company. We used some of our favorite pieces, all with a touch of blue! The plates were our blue rim dinner plates and salad plate, with our coordinating tulip glasses in soft blue glass. When it comes to designing a reception, we love adding pops of pattern. It adds so much depth to the design, and really sets the stage for your other details. We chose a toile-inspired pattern, with deep blues and crisp whites.

Toile and Watercolor Inspiration

The dessert carried in the toile designs, with two beautiful mini-cakes by Eat More Cake. They were hand-painted, and a work of art! The macaroons also carried over the couple’s initials, along with hand-painted flowers. 

Sustainability is always important to our design, so we made sure the flowers were all locally sourced and were shipped in foam-free containers. The team at Clementina Floral Co. created themes incredible flower arrangements, with peachy pincushion flower, and jasmine vine, that smelled absolutely incredible!

When it came to the bridal attire, we chose a ballgown by Casablanca Bridal, that tied into the luxury of the venue. The bodice featured silver beading, and was absolutely stunning! Our bride wore flowers in her hair, to add a touch of color. For some of the portraits, we made sure to utilize the incredible lake! We used a canoe and filled it with flowers, to create the perfect setting for our bride to have her portraits taken. Everything came together so perfectly for this intimate wedding at Lakefalls Lodge, and it was such a joy to design!
