What do you do when your wedding guest count is limited to only twelve people, but you want to celebrate with a bigger party later? You plan a one-year-anniversary Pool Party! After an intimate wedding last year, Madi and Devin wanted to create a party to celebrate their anniversary. Since they had to keep the guest list very small, due to health protocols in Fall 2020, they wanted a backyard anniversary party to celebrate their marriage with more of their family and friends.

Intimate Summer Wedding

You might remember Madi and Devin’s wedding at North Mowing Estate last fall. To this sweet couple, their family and friends are so important. So, for their wedding, they had an entire wedding weekend! Guests were able to stay at the Estate and enjoy a weekend together that was safe and private.

Backyard Anniversary Pool Party

For their pool party anniversary, they once again made sure guests were the focus. Since Devin is a professional basketball player in Europe, they wanted to cherish their time back in the States.

The event took place in a private backyard, which had beautiful flowers for a garden feel. Round tables were placed around the pool deck with umbrellas for some shade. Soft greenery climbed up the umbrella for an organic touch. As we planned the event, we wanted to tie in the garden details of this home and add in some fresh flowers for accents.

Madi wore a white dress and had a bouquet, while Devin wore a button-down shirt with a boutonniere. It was such a special touch to have them dressed up and let them get family portraits. Since only a few guests could attend their wedding last August, this was the perfect time for everyone to get pictures with the newlyweds! The whole afternoon was a casual affair with lots of food and memorable toasts. Their wedding band, Jonah Bobo Music, played at the party to commemorate their original wedding. The music added a great ambiance to the afternoon.
