Adrienne and Nick’s wedding at Hatherly Country Club was classy as can be. The white and blue color palette that carried throughout the day was timeless, as was the coastal setting. Although the couple now resides in NYC, Adrienne grew up in Massachusetts, spending her summers in the charming seaside town of Scituate. The Hatherly Country Club, with its prime location overlooking Cohasset Harbor, was the perfect place for the newlyweds to wine and dine with their guests following their ceremony at St. Mary’s Church.
The couple opted for a first look on the beach attended by their bridal party. Adrienne wore an ivory crepe gown with a structured sweetheart bodice and carried a bouquet from local florist Awesome Blossom. Greenery cascaded from either side, while ivory peonies and roses took center stage for a timeless arrangement. Nick and his groomsmen were dapper in navy tuxedos, and Adrienne’s bridesmaids looked radiant in floor-length navy gowns. The elegant, nautically inspired color scheme perfectly suited a New England seaside wedding!
The couple’s ceremony mass took place at St. Mary of the Nativity, where handpainted programs by Impress Me Designs awaited their guests. Boughs of greenery and white flowers from Awesome Blossom adorned the chancel, while white organza ribbons lined the aisle. After sharing their first kiss as husband and wife, Adrienne and Nick boarded a limo to travel to their reception in classic newlywed style! They shared a bottle of champagne and a private moment together as they anticipated the evening to come.
Planning a reception at Hatherly Country Club was an enjoyable challenge, as the venue does not often host weddings. The furnishings were dated and weren’t to the couple’s aesthetic preference. So, on the morning of the wedding, our team completely emptied the club’s Dining Room and filled it with rented furniture from Peak Event Services. Then, at the end of the night, we returned it to its original appearance!
With the room’s design, we aimed for timeless elegance in the couple’s chosen color palette of white and blue. White Chiavari chairs and tablecloths kept the overall impression clean and minimal, while blue patterned napkins and a sprinkling of blue florals added a pop of color. China plates and simple glassware filled out the tablescapes and sparkled in the late afternoon sun. Presently, the couple and their guests enjoyed fresh seafood courtesy of the Hatherly Country Club and hit the dance floor to the sounds of live jazz. Just as the sun began to set, the newlyweds snuck away for a few extra portraits with Kate Preftakes!
