Jackie and Sam’s December wedding at Fairmont Copley Plaza was luxurious and elegant! As Adrienne’s sister and Michelle’s best friend, Jackie has been Maid of Honor at two of the weddings we’ve planned—and the connections don’t stop there! She played hockey with my niece at St. Anselm’s College (also my husband’s alma mater!), where she attended with two of our grooms, Peter and Anthony. It’s a small world, and we suspect we’ll see her again!
Between her network of friends from all over New England and her massive Irish Catholic family, we knew that Jackie’s wedding would be an over-the-top affair. And at 275 guests, this celebration was one for the books! We’re so honored that she and Sam trusted us with planning everything. Don’t miss the gorgeous images that Kate Preftakes captured from this winter wedding day!
Jackie and Sam selected our full planning package, which is ideal for busy couples! While we created a design that fit their vision and finalized every detail, they were free to pursue their careers and enjoy their engagement.
However, hiring a planner isn’t just crucial for a stress-free planning process. Our services also guarantee a smooth wedding day! When Jackie and Sam’s wedding day arrived with cold and wet weather, our team was on the scene, ready to seamlessly pivot to plan B. Although outdoor portraits were no longer an option, we found the perfect alternative in the Oakley Country Club! Jackie descended the elegant spiral staircase to surprise Sam with a first look, followed by portraits with their wedding party. Then, they were off to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Belmont—just two doors down from Jackie’s family home—where the couple exchanged their vows in a traditional mass.
The couple hosted their cocktail hour and reception at Fairmont Copley Plaza, an upscale hotel in Boston’s historic Copley Square. We loved designing their winter wedding inside the Fairmont’s Grand Ballroom! This palatial event space is perfect for large-scale celebrations. The light from dozens of candelabras and chandeliers reflects off French doors around the room and fills the space with warmth. Meanwhile, gold fixtures ground the ballroom in old-world elegance.
The room’s cream and gold palette inspired our design choices for Jackie and Sam’s reception. We selected white linens from BBJ La Tavola to drape over round tables encircled by gold Chiavari chairs. Gold candlesticks with white tapers and gold bud vases with white florals completed the simple yet luxurious tablescapes. In addition, several tables featured lofted floral arrangements by Fleur Events! A mixture of white flowers, including orchids, anemones, peonies, and roses, stood out against swaths of lush greenery. They instantly elevated the space!
Working with Jackie to plan her wedding to Sam at Fairmont Copley Plaza was so rewarding. We can’t wait to see where the future takes them! Are you ready to start planning your Boston wedding? We would love to hear from you! Let’s collaborate to bring your unique vision to life.
