Micaela and Sam’s wedding at Aldworth Manor was lovely, with vibrant florals and heartfelt, nostalgic photography by Jackie Fox. We just adore the love story they share, which began in their home city of Boston on a first date that lasted past midnight! Sam planned to propose during a trip to the Cape for Micaela’s birthday but got too excited to keep the secret any longer. He ended up getting down on one knee in their living room, and it was the most perfect, unexpected moment!

Pink and Orange Palette

Micaela and Sam selected a warm, romantic color palette for the day that was reflected beautifully in the floral design by Birds of a Flower. Micaela’s bouquet was an organic arrangement of purple cosmos, coral peonies, and white ranunculus. Meanwhile, a pale blush ribbon streamed from the bottom. The flowers looked freshly plucked as if they came from a garden on the grounds!

In addition, the couple’s ceremony arch was a showstopping installation of multi-colored dahlias. Pink, orange, and rust-colored blooms formed lush pillars on either side of the couple, while hydrangeas clustered over their heads to form the top of the arch. With views of a pond and Mount Monadnock in the distance, the setting couldn’t have been more gorgeous!

Tented Reception at Aldworth Manor

We designed the couple’s reception inside a stunning clear-top tent with greenery draped over the entrance for a touch of whimsy! Natural wood cane-back chairs provided seating around farm tables draped in iridescent blush linen. Meanwhile, a contemporary gold chandelier added equal parts of modern and classic appeal to the space.

Colorful arrangements of dahlias and hydrangeas also livened up the tablescapes! A scattering of seasonal fruit and a sprig of greenery tucked into each guest’s napkin added to the organic feel. Gold details, including cutlery, table numbers, and candlesticks, completed the design. We loved how everything came together to create a soft and romantic atmosphere, just how Micaela and Sam envisioned it!
