Kelley and Justin’s wedding at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island, was a classic New England summer affair. From the white and blush floral arrangements to the fun fruity cocktails, it took everything we love about the season and dialed up the elegance. In addition, the ocean and iconic Castle Hill Lighthouse made stunning backdrops for the couple’s portraits! I can’t wait to plan more weddings in the beautiful city of Newport.

Weddings at Castle Hill Inn

Castle Hill Inn is one of my favorite wedding venues in Newport! It’s situated on a private 40-acre peninsula to give you and your guests the feeling of staying at a secluded seaside estate. A pristine Victorian mansion houses luxurious accommodations where your closest family and friends can vacation like kings and queens. Meanwhile, beach houses and cottages equipped with kitchenettes are available for additional guest lodging.

You can exchange vows on Castle Hill Inn’s Chalet Lawn overlooking the sparkling sea. Or, opt for an intimate ceremony in front of the historic lighthouse. The Lawn is also the perfect location for your cocktail hour, where you and your guests will enjoy fresh local fare prepared and served by the Inn’s talented staff. Then, host your reception beneath one of the tents on the Chalet Terrace! Our planning team specializes in tented weddings, and we helped Kelley and Justin transform an elegant yet plain Sperry tent into the wedding venue of their dreams. The “blank slate” of a tent truly offers so much versatility!

Elegant Summer Wedding Reception

Classic escort cards rimmed in gold greeted Kelley and Justin’s guests at their Castle Hill Inn wedding reception. They found their seats at long tables draped in soft ivory linen, where matching place cards awaited them. Down the center of each table, a lush bough of pink roses and creamy white hydrangeas invited the abundance of summer into the space. Meanwhile, floating candles and tea lights flickered in the gentle breeze. Blackberry lemonade cocktails served in Mason jars with retro-inspired striped straws added a touch of whimsy and were just the right thing to wash down the delicious dinner provided by Castle Hill Inn!
