Meredith and David wed overlooking the snow-capped White Mountains at Omni Mount Washington Resort. I love planning weddings at this majestic venue, from Keely and Jasper’s holiday-themed affair to this floral-forward spring wedding with a royal blue and white palette. Some of my favorite New England wedding vendors also worked on this wedding day. It was a privilege to collaborate with them to bring Meredith and David’s vision to life!
These two have the sweetest love story. They met in 2013 through a singles softball league but didn’t start dating until 2019. Both knew they had found the love of their lives, and David made plans to pop the question. He booked a suite at W Boston, then took Meredith on a walk around the Common. A photographer friend was nearby to capture the moment David took out a ring and asked Meredith to marry him. She couldn’t speak at first out of shock—then she started jumping up and down saying “YES!”
Meredith and David chose Omni Mount Washington Resort as their wedding venue because of the hotel’s incredible history. Meredith is a history buff who loves reading about fascinating places, and the White Mountains captured her attention when the couple began brainstorming for a unique New England wedding location. From there, booking the iconic hotel was an easy decision! A little snow didn’t bother the couple, who happily braved the cold for portraits on the Jewell Terrace with their photographer, Kate Preftakes.
The couple felt so inspired by the venue that they incorporated it into their custom wedding invitation suite by Impress Me Designs. Their invitations featured a watercolor illustration of the hotel and mountain range, as did their envelope liners. Even their detail cards paid homage to the wedding location by depicting the Mount Washington Cog Railway!
Meredith and David hosted their reception inside Omni Mount Washington Resort’s Presidential Ballroom. Their vision, centered around a royal blue and white palette, was elegant and floral-forward to marry the wintery scene outside with the coming springtime. Floral-patterned blue and white linens made a statement on the tablescapes, while copper tableware introduced contrast. The centerpieces by Emily Herzig Floral Studio added to the garden-inspired feel with loose arrangements of anemones, daisies, soft yellow ranunculus, and toffee roses.
Meredith and David are huge animal lovers who share two cats, George and Rooney. Naturally, they had to incorporate their furry best friends into their wedding day. Their signature cocktail menu featured the “Rooney” Shirley Temple and the “George” Bourbon Manhattan, with a custom portrait of the cats. In addition, the couple’s show-stopping four-tiered wedding cake featured miniature replicas of their beloved pets. The design made it look like they had nibbled at the frosting!
Omni Mount Washington Resort is an outstanding mountain wedding venue, and I’m thrilled I could plan another celebration there. Do you feel inspired by Meredith and David to tie the knot in the White Mountains? I would love to help you bring your vision to life! Tell me a bit about you to get started.
