A Weekend in the Adirondacks
Some weddings feel like they are meant to unfold over an entire weekend, and Lilly and Will’s autumn celebration at the Ausable Club had that easy, full hearted flow. Guests settled in on the property and spent their days hiking, golfing, and playing plenty of tennis (my personal favorite). By the time the wedding day arrived, everyone felt wonderfully connected to each other, to the setting, and to the rhythm of the Adirondacks.

A First Look by the Lake
That afternoon, the wedding party took a bus from the main lodge down to the lake for the first look and portraits. The ride was full of laughter and that bright, buzzing anticipation that comes right before everything begins. Down by the water, the mountains wrapped around them in full fall color. Lilly and Will shared their first look on the shoreline before slipping out in a canoe for a quiet, breathtaking moment on the still lake, just the two of them held by the season.

A Ceremony Held Close to the Heart
Guests later gathered on the golf course for the ceremony, where the views stretched all the way to the High Peaks. Amid the beauty of that backdrop, there was also a deeply felt tenderness. Lilly’s father had recently passed, and his Tilley hat was placed with care as a remembrance. The combination of sweeping mountain scenery and that intimate tribute made the moment especially meaningful as Lilly and Will exchanged vows.

Cocktails, Candlelight, and Adirondack Charm
Cocktail hour unfolded in front of the historic Adirondack Lodge, where guests enjoyed the crisp autumn air and the rustic charm of the property. Dinner followed in the main dining room, warm with candlelight, toasts, laughter, and big hugs between friends and family….and some tears for sure.

A Family Dance to Remember
In place of a traditional father-daughter dance, Lilly began a dance with her brother, and soon her sister and mother joined in for a full family moment that had everyone smiling. ThenLilly’s mom made her way to the drums and absolutely owned it. So much fun!

A Shotski and a Mountain After Party
And of course, no mountain wedding would be complete without a shotski, cheers raised high, laughter ringing out, and that unmistakable Adirondack energy filling the night. The celebration wrapped up with a lively after-party in one of the cozy houses on the property, the perfect finale to a weekend overflowing with joy, beauty, and so much love.
