Josephine and Will came to us knowing they wanted to get married somewhere in Massachusetts, but they weren’t quite sure where. After an extensive venue search and many thoughtful conversations, we landed on Elm Bank. It was the perfect fit: elegant, flexible, and full of natural beauty in every season.
Planning took place entirely remotely, and Josephine and Will were a true delight throughout the process. They were thoughtful, trusting, and excited, making remote planning smooth and collaborative from start to finish.
When the wedding day arrived, the weather kept us guessing. Throughout the day, it shifted back and forth, and it initially looked like we’d be able to hold the ceremony outdoors. Then, just as guests were arriving, a fast-moving storm rolled in, and we had to pivot quickly.
Thanks to the flexibility of Elm Bank and an incredible vendor team, we executed a seamless indoor plan. We transformed the reception space by draping off half of the room, pushing all of the reception tables behind a large draped wall. On the other side, we set up ceremony seating, creating a beautiful and intimate ceremony space.
Winston Flowers worked magic with florals, making the room feel intentional and elegant despite the quick change. The team from Peak Event Services jumped in to help with the draping, while Capers Catering worked tirelessly to move tables, prep the room, and prepare for the fast turnaround after the ceremony.
The ceremony itself was heartfelt and lovely, with wonderful music provided by Music Management. Once the ceremony concluded, guests moved into the tented area for cocktail hour, where Capers Catering served drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
Behind the scenes, our team and the vendor crew went straight to work. The drape was removed, tables were brought back into place, and the space was completely transformed for dinner. It was a perfect example of how much happens quietly behind the scenes so couples can stay present and fully enjoy their day.
The reception was everything Josephine and Will had hoped for. The evening was filled with fun and heartfelt speeches, beautiful music, lots of dancing, and a stunning cake to top it all off. Through it all, Josephine and Will were relaxed, happy, and surrounded by their favorite people, exactly as it should be.
Every moment of the day was captured beautifully by Christina Richards, preserving not just the details but the energy and emotion of the celebration.
Josephine and Will’s Elm Bank wedding was a wonderful reminder of how important a strong, experienced vendor team can be. When plans change, collaboration, professionalism, and trust make all the difference. Because of that teamwork, Josephine and Will were able to focus on what mattered most: celebrating their marriage and enjoying their people.
It was truly a joy to bring this day together.
