While this couple had many ups and downs planning their wedding, every detail of this summer affair was absolutely perfect. I started working with Anna and Tom in 2019, as we began to plan their dream wedding. Of course, all of our plans were put on hold when the pandemic hit. The two weathered the storm and were so patient through the whole process. We decided on a July 24th wedding date, at their favorite venue, Aldworth Manor. So, their guest count had to be cut down from 125 people to 30, but we meticulously designed every single detail to make sure the guests had a memorable experience at their summer wedding at Aldworth manor.
One of my favorite things I ask my couples is how they met. Anna and Tom’s story shows that they were meant to find one another! They met on the first day of college at their Cornell dorm. The two were close friends for three years before finally making the jump to a relationship. But this couple still are each other’s best friends, and you could see their love for each other on their wedding day. The two were always embracing and holding hands as they greeted guests.
The couple wanted a vintage garden-inspired wedding, complete with a romantic summer color palette and floral touches. Aldworth Manor was the natural choice for this couple! One of my favorite venues in New Hampshire, Aldworth Manor is a stunning estate that has picturesque mountain views and acres of rolling hills. The views of Mount Monadnock are breathtaking, especially in the summer evenings as the sun sets in the distance.
Their custom stationery was designed on deckled-edged paper and wrapped in a dusty rose bow. They tied the dusty rose accent in throughout the day, including the bridesmaid’s dresses. The ladies wore long gowns in various shades of floral print and blush. The stunning bouquets by Posies by Trim enchanted the vintage design. Large roses were the focal point, with softly draped greenery and cascading silk ribbons.
For the ceremony, they chose to get married on the lawn of the Manor, which overlooks the mountains. Their lace-covered Chuppah had lush floral accents. Their photographer, Kate Preftakes, always knows how to capture love stories! She snuck the couple off after the ceremony to get some portraits together, and the two were clearly so joyful.
Their reception took place on the lawn, steps away from the Manor. The vintage romance theme continued throughout, with soft blue plates and an elegant floral centerpiece. As the sun set in the hills, the couple enjoyed an evening of dancing and laughter. While it might have had to be re-planned, this summer wedding at Aldworth Manor was absolutely perfect!
It’s always such a joy to help couples create their ideal wedding day. We’d love to hear from you and learn all about your love story and your vision for your wedding.
