From the Ashes: A Styled Shoot at Mayfair Farm
For those acquainted with Harrisville, New Hampshire, the name Mayfair Farm likely resonates deeply. Following a devastating fire, this beloved establishment faced the daunting task of rebuilding. Enter Sarah Heffron, the determined owner, who approached me and my talented friend, Kate Preftakes, to collaborate on new marketing materials. Sarah wanted to showcase the farm’s resurrected barn. We seized this opportunity with boundless enthusiasm. Recognizing Mayfair Farm’s unparalleled charm, this venue is capable of accommodating up to 200 guests. Renowned for its picturesque setting, Mayfair Farm serves a delectable cuisine and offers exceptional hospitality. Mayfair Farm holds a special place in our hearts. I urge you to delve deeper into their story, particularly if you’re exploring venue options.
The Collaboration
The culmination of our efforts, alongside an exceptional vendor team, resulted in an awe-inspiring shoot. Sorella Flower Company, with their ingenious use of real fruit in the centerpieces, seamlessly complemented the exquisite rentals sourced from Peak. Intentionally vibrant and attention-grabbing, we opted for a bold color palette dominated by rich red tones, infusing the shoot with a sense of vitality and sophistication. I’m captivated by the crisp and dynamic ambiance that this choice imbues, further enhancing the overall aesthetic.
Sustainability
“Sustainably raised meat is full of flavor and produced humanely without destroying the environment. At Mayfair Farm, our farming focus is on raising old-style pig breeds and Dorset cross lambs in the woods and on pasture, feeding them non-GMO grains. Additionally, we have two small orchards producing succulent blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, apples, and pears. Stop by the farm store to purchase our products or find Mayfair goods at one of these fine establishments.”
The Mayfair Farm Experience
“No rental hall or hotel banquet room can match the one-of-a-kind, rural experience at Mayfair Farm. Invite your friends, family, or loved ones to watch the sunset while sipping cocktails on our scenic hilltop. Celebrate your special day with a dance and mouthwatering farm-to-table meal under the rafters of our barn. Drink beer around the campfire in the shadow of Mt. Monadnock while the kids run in the field, marveling at the lambs and our friendly sheepdog Thelma. If you can dream it up, we would love to help you make it happen! From June through September, our farm is available for your wedding, family reunion, client luncheon, rehearsal dinner, company picnic, corporate event, special brunch, or fundraiser. We host private events for up to 150 guests and will work to make the entire process smooth and enjoyable.”
Adding an extra layer of charm to this shoot was the inclusion of this adorable couple – and here’s the kicker: Kate, Sarah, and I will have the pleasure of reuniting with them come June for their actual wedding! Working alongside them was an absolute delight; their warmth and easygoing nature made the entire experience truly enjoyable. Needless to say, we’re eagerly counting down the days until their special celebration – and trust me, you won’t want to miss out on the magic! Stay tuned for more updates as we eagerly await their big day!
