Some wedding venues make immediate sense the moment you arrive — and Roads End Farm is one of those places.
Shannon and Tad are based in Denver, Colorado, and while Roads End Farm sits in New Hampshire, the panoramic mountain views feel strikingly familiar. The layered ridgelines and wide-open vistas echo the feeling of the Rocky Mountains — on a smaller, gentler scale — and it’s easy to understand why they were drawn to this setting. It feels expansive, peaceful, and deeply connected to the landscape.
Roads End Farm also holds real personal meaning for Shannon’s family. They have a long history of summering on Lake Winnipesaukee, just down the road, and the owner of Roads End Farm is a dear family friend. This wasn’t simply a beautiful New Hampshire wedding venue — it was a place layered with memory, connection, and history.
Shannon had a clear and thoughtful vision for the day, centered around soft rainbow hues woven gently throughout the design. The palette felt joyful without being loud, romantic without being precious — light, intentional, and perfectly suited to the natural setting.
With a very large guest count, this Roads End Farm wedding truly stretched the venue to its fullest. We maxed out the site capacity and then kept expanding the tenting — larger and larger as plans evolved. Thankfully, Lakes Region Tent and Event was absolutely wonderful to work with. They handled every change with flexibility, patience, and professionalism, making what could have been stressful feel seamless.
The ceremony was heartfelt and beautiful, set against sweeping mountain views that seemed to hold the moment perfectly. It was emotional, sincere, and grounding — the kind of ceremony where the landscape quietly elevates everything without overpowering it.
The reception unfolded under the tent, where the celebration flowed easily from dinner into dancing. The energy stayed high and joyful throughout the evening. After some dancing, Bailey’s Bubbles rolled in, adding a playful and celebratory moment that guests absolutely loved. A photo booth captured so many sweet, candid moments — laughter, connection, and pure joy.
Every part of the day was captured beautifully by Kate Preftakes Photography, whose images reflect both the grandeur of the mountain views and the quiet, meaningful moments in between.
Shannon and Tad’s wedding was a perfect blend of place, people, and personal history.
