Shelly and Miller were married at the Trapp Family Lodge, one of Vermont’s most iconic mountain wedding venues. Set high above the village of Stowe, the lodge offers sweeping views, alpine beauty, and a sense of calm that feels both grand and welcoming.
From the very beginning, it was clear that this wedding would run smoothly. Shelly was incredibly organized. Every detail was thoughtfully planned. Every item was carefully labeled. When our team arrived, everything was clear, intentional, and easy to assemble. For Events By Sorrell management clients, this level of preparation makes a meaningful difference, and we truly appreciate it.
The wedding weekend began with a rehearsal dinner at Flatbread Company. The evening was relaxed and joyful, with plenty of speeches and laughter. It was a warm and welcoming way to gather family and friends before the big day.
Meanwhile, rentals arrived from Vermont Tent Company. The team installed the tent, added lighting, and set farm tables for the head table. They also provided crossback chairs with cushions, along with a sailcloth tent for cocktail hour. Together, these elements created a space that felt both elegant and comfortable.
On the wedding day, Shelly and her people got ready at the villas on property. Hair and makeup unfolded calmly, allowing the morning to feel relaxed and unrushed. As the day continued, florals arrived from Schoolhouse Garden. The arrangements were lush and beautifully designed, perfectly complementing the mountain setting.
The ceremony took place overlooking the mountains, with expansive views and soft light framing the moment. With 170 guests, a large wedding party, and close family nearby, the ceremony felt full of love and energy.
As the celebration moved into the reception, music by Soul of Boston set the tone for the evening. The dance floor quickly filled, and the energy stayed high throughout the night.
One especially touching moment came during the father-daughter dance, set to You Are the Sunshine of My Life. Later, Shelly and Miller shared their first dance to Midnight Train to Georgia, a moment that felt joyful and deeply personal.
Every part of the day was beautifully captured by Emily Elisabeth, whose photographs reflect both the grandeur of the setting and the emotion of the celebration.
Shelly and Miller’s Trapp Family Lodge wedding was a wonderful blend of organization, beauty, and heartfelt celebration. With mountain views, a strong vendor team, and a couple who knew exactly what they wanted, the day unfolded seamlessly from start to finish.
It was a joy to work with such a thoughtful couple and to be part of a celebration filled with love, family, and Vermont’s unmistakable beauty.
