You may have your heart set on a band that is too expensive for your overall budget, and I’ll work with you. I can help you find a less expensive band. Or you may decide that the band is a top priority, and we may end up serving pizza instead of salmon for dinner! But having a clear budget helps avoid boarding a runaway train. I don’t want anyone to wake up to a $150K bill when they planned on $75K.
Vendor selection is so important. I believe strongly in hiring a good team and letting them do their job. I work with a lot of people, and I try to match vendors with clients based on vision and budget as well as personality. Your vendor team is beside you on event day and the days and months leading up to it. You want to like them.
Your expert planner will assist you in selecting the perfect venue for your needs and will work with you to select the best vendors for your photography, entertainment, catering, hotel blocks, transportation needs, as well as anything else you require to cover your bases.
I request a full guest list right at the beginning of the planning process. You need to know pretty clearly how many people you are having in order to plan properly. I get that people may not come and some may get added. But we need to plan based on a number – there is a big difference between a celebration with 100, 200, or 300. I also know we are living in uncertain times with a pandemic. Hiring a wedding planner means you have help with planning for different scenarios.
